The binocular night vision device with an integrated thermal imaging channel offers image overlay and combines the advantages of both technologies in one device.
Thanks to the two channels, three-dimensional perception is possible. The residual light amplifier enables the user, e.g. to perceive a free movement in the dark and its surroundings (depending on the power of the tube and the remaining light) just as during the day.
Thanks to the additional thermal imaging channel, objects that stand out from their surroundings due to their temperature can be perceived much earlier and without the residual light being present. With a pure residual light amplifier it is necessary to switch on an infrared brightener under bad conditions. This allows the user to be detected very easily. This risk is minimized with fusion technology.
Thanks to the compass and GPS, the FBG enables the use of AR (Augmented Reality). This allows for an expanded perception of reality. Furthermore, data can be imported and displayed in the device, e.g. B. text messages, positions, time or videos.
A picture-in-picture function enables the playback of a recorded picture from an external device, e.g. B. from a thermal imaging target device to transmit the image wirelessly to the night vision goggles.
The sensitive detector with a resolution of 640x512 offers a very high level of detail and thus an increased range. With numerous modes such as Black/Hot, Target Enhancement and Outline, the user can optimally adapt the device to a wide variety of situations. With the external battery compartment, a running time of at least 8 hours and a maximum of 60 hours can be achieved. The weight of the night vision device (without power supply) is only 530 g. A very large exit pupil and a tube with either green or black-and-white image display allows for long and comfortable use.
Depending on customer requirements, the FBG can be equipped with either Photonis 4G tubes (which keeps the device ITAR-free) or US Generation 3 HIGH-FOM tubes.
